Solid hardwood flooring, factory prefinished with solvent based aluminum oxide floor finish 20 years prior to this restoration. The discoloured coatings were removed to expose the natural exotic Kempas wood underneath, then resurfaced with a natural water based coating system.

26 year old solid fir wood floor installed with screws, teak plugs and inlay by a retired boat builder. Initially finished with exterior decking oils the detail was hidden under the discoloured finish. Sanded and polished to expose the fir and teak wood then finished with a satin water based coating system

Custom stained red oak floor. This factory prefinished solid red oak hardwood floor was sanded back to the bare wood then hand stained with a walnut penetrating stain prior to finishing with a satin water based coating system.

Weathered grey stain effect on a 20 year old factory prefinished solid maple wood floor. Old flaking solvent based floor coating were sanded off and then polished prior to applying a custom mixed grey stain effect and satin water based floor finishes.

Original 1960’s fir wood floor that was restored by sanding off the old oil based coatings and fine polished before a penetrating grey stain was applied by hand. The colours of the fir wood is still visible, now highlighted by the stain effect.
